Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

• Account data: email address and hashed password when you register.
• Usage data: the prompts you send and the designs we generate, your plan type, and usage count.
• Payment data: PayPal subscription ID only. We never see or store your payment card details — PayPal handles that directly.
• Technical data: IP address (used for rate limiting only, not stored long-term), browser type.

2. What We Do Not Collect

• We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
• We do not store credit card or full payment information.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the Service — generate circuits, track usage limits, manage your account.
• To send transactional emails: password resets, account notifications. No marketing emails unless you opt in.
• To improve the Service — we may review anonymized prompts to improve AI output quality.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in an encrypted SQLite database. Passwords are hashed using PBKDF2-SHA256 with 260,000 iterations and a unique salt — we cannot recover your password. Session tokens expire after 30 days. Daily encrypted backups are retained for 7 days.

5. Third-Party Services

• Anthropic (Claude AI): your prompts are sent to Anthropic's API to generate designs. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• PayPal: handles payment processing. See PayPal's Privacy Policy.
• DigiKey: parts links open DigiKey product pages. We share no personal data with DigiKey.

6. Your Rights

• Access: you can request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Deletion: you can request account deletion at any time — email hello@whirely.com.
• Correction: contact us to correct inaccurate data.

We respond to all requests within 30 days.

7. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email. The "Effective date" at the top shows when it was last updated.
